I’m an Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP 10.8) and a member of the Apple Consultants Network, with 20 years’ experience supporting people and technology. I’ve been an Apple user since 1981 and a Mac user since 1984.
I’ve run a help desk managing Macintosh, Windows, Linux and Mac OS X Server support; network security; and web publishing. I’ve produced websites; managed software development; planned, purchased, and deployed small business computer networks.
I love helping people learn to use technology to accomplish their goals. Steve Jobs described the early personal computer as a “bicycle for the mind”. Personal technology can be a powerful tool that magnifies our ability to connect with people, exchange ideas, and express our creativity. But many people feel at the mercy of their devices. Instant communication and constant rivers of news challenge our ability to maintain a lifestyle of our choosing. I focus on ways technology can work for people rather than the other way round. I help people set boundaries, take control, and develop mindful relationships with gadgets so they can have healthy human relationships.
I help you find ways to to get more done in less time and with less work. I’ll be glad to teach you how to avoid or fix common issues — I’d like to help you level up so you can do better and better things with your digital tools!
